Bruwia is one of the few beer-tracking apps that accepts a full Untappd history as an import. It is a free app for iOS and Android, separate from Untappd, and the import works for anyone with any account, not just Untappd Insiders and not only EU/EEA residents.

What Bruwia is, briefly
Bruwia is a free beer-tracking app for iOS and Android, separate from Untappd. It lets you scan beer labels, rate on a decimal scale, keep a personal tasting journal, and check style data against the BJCP and Brewers Association guidelines. It is available in English, French, Dutch and German.
The reason it is relevant to a takeout of your Untappd history is the import. Untappd's own export is gated behind Insider or a GDPR request, both of which are slow or paid. Bruwia accepts your Untappd data as a starting point instead, with no subscription and no EU/EEA requirement.
How to move your Untappd history into Bruwia
There are two routes, both free. The first is the faster one and worth trying before anything else.
- Get your Untappd data. The fastest route: open Untappd on a computer and save your Beer History page as HTML (File > Save Page As, full page). UntappdScraper on GitHub is the other route if you want a CSV plus your photos.
- Open Bruwia on your phone and start the import flow. It will ask you to upload the HTML or CSV you saved.
- Confirm the import. Bruwia reads your check-ins, ratings, dates and any notes you left on Untappd.
- Wait for it to finish. A few hundred check-ins are quick; large histories take longer but still minutes, not hours.

Bruwia is a different app, not a clone of Untappd. Some Untappd-only features do not have a destination in Bruwia.

FAQ
Do I need an Untappd Insight subscription to import?
No. The Bruwia import works with the saved Beer History HTML or with a CSV from UntappdScraper on GitHub. Both are free.
Do I need to be in the EU or EEA?
No. Bruwia's import works regardless of where you are, and the saved HTML route does not require Untappd to deliver anything to you.
Will my Untappd ratings transfer?
Bruwia uses a different rating scale. The relative ordering of your beers carries across, but a 4.5-star Untappd rating will not show up as 4.5 in Bruwia.
Can I keep using Untappd after importing?
Yes. Importing into Bruwia does not touch your Untappd account. The two apps are independent after the import.
