Nike Run Club

Updated Aug 23, 2026

Nike Run Club is the running app that came with the Nike Band, and it keeps every run, every guided workout, your achievements and the cheering threads from your races. The official route is through Nike's privacy portal rather than a button in the app, which is one more step than it needs to be. An open-source exporter exists for anyone who would rather not wait.

What you'll get

Run activities (GPX / FIT files) — GPS, pace, cadence, heart rate, splitsAchievements and badges earnedCheers sent and receivedPersonal records and milestone progressRun history metadata (date, distance, duration, perceived effort, photos)Account metadata — profile, settings, pairings, training plans

Before you start

 1. Confirm the email on your Nike Member account is current — export notifications are emailed there
 2. If you have never set a Nike password, do so at nike.com/login — older NRC-only accounts may need to migrate to a Nike Member account first
 3. Decide whether to use the official path (privacy.nike.com / Account Settings > Privacy > Download Your Data) or the third-party exporter for faster / more complete results

How to download

 1. Official path: sign in at nike.com, go to Account Settings > Privacy tab, scroll to "Download Your Data", click "Request Data"
 2. Pick the categories you want — at minimum, "Run activity data" and "Profile"
 3. Submit — Nike emails the download link when ready (typically 24 hours to a few weeks for large accounts)
 4. Click the link in the email and save the ZIP — link expires, so download promptly
 5. Third-party fallback: clone github.com/yasoob/nrc-exporter, follow README steps to log in via your Nike credentials, and let it pull every run, badge, and cheer into a local folder

Pro tip

Nike's official privacy portal export is slow but complete for run history; for those who want full archive preservation, the open-source yasoob/nrc-exporter is a useful fallback that pulls everything Nike retains.

After the download

 • Unzip — run activities arrive as per-activity GPX / FIT files, named by date and activity
 • GPX / FIT files import directly into Strava, Garmin Connect, COROS, Wahoo, Runalyze — drag-and-drop upload works in all of them
 • If you are migrating to Garmin, see our Garmin Connect export guide for the receiving side, and our Fitbit → Garmin transfer guide for the migration pattern (the same approach works for NRC → Garmin)
