What you'll get

Before you start

1. Go to myaccount.google.com
2. Navigate to "Privacy & Personalization"
3. Select "Manage your data & privacy"

How to download

1. Scroll to "Download or delete your data"
2. Select "Download your data"
3. Deselect everything except what you want (to keep file size manageable)
4. Click "Next step"
5. Choose "Single file" (easiest) or "Multiple files"
6. Choose "HTML" or "ZIP" format
7. Click "Create export"

After the download

• Delete the archive from Google servers immediately after downloading
• Delete Location History if you no longer need it
• Keep a local copy on an external HD or a NAS drive if you export regularly
• Store an off-site copy in ProtonDrive or pCloud for encrypted cloud backup
