Before you start
- Go to User Settings > Privacy & Security
- Scroll to "Request all of my data"
How to download
- Click "Request all of my data"
- Wait for the email (can take up to 30 days)
- Download the zip file from the link in the email
Pro tip
You can only download message history for yourself. You cannot export group chat history without the cooperation of other members.
After the download
- Review the JSON files to see how Discord stores your data
- Delete the archive from your computer after review
