Before you start
- Go to privacy.apple.com
- Sign in with Apple ID
How to download
- Select "Request a copy of your data"
- Select data categories
- Click "Request copy"
Pro tip
iCloud data is massive. Consider backing up locally via device first if possible.
After the download
- Delete "Device Location Services" logs
- Review "App Store Search" history
- Move exports to an external HD for a local copy — Apple archives can be very large
- Store an encrypted off-site copy in ProtonDrive or pCloud
